On June 4, the family of murdered Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Chandigarh, according to ANI. As per the reports, family is demanding justice from central goverment and asks for CBI enquiry in this case.
On May 29, unidentified gunmen opened fire in Jawaharke village in Punjab’s Mansa district, killing the singer-turned-politician. Last Sunday, the incident occurred a day after the Punjab government lowered his security cover.
According to the post-mortem report, Moosewala’s body had 19 bullet wounds and he died 15 minutes after being shot. Goldy Brar, a Canadian criminal, has claimed responsibility for the murder.
Despite the protests, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann paid a visit to the Moosewala family yesterday. The townspeople were outraged by Mann’s visit to the singer’s home. When Mann arrived at Moosewala’s hamlet to express his condolences to the family, there was a large police presence outside.,
