Story

The story of this movie reveals the life story of Punjab’s legendary singer Chamkila. This movie depicts that how Chamkila struggled during his initial stage of career and how he got popular and got immense love from the audiences. ‘Chamkila’ shows the untold story of legendary artist of Punjab. The main lead characters are played by Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra. Meanwhlile, Diljit Dosanjh played the role of Amar Singh Chamkila and on the other side Parineeti Chopra played the role of Amarjot Kaur. Both of them deserves appreciation for their work as they adapted the characters so well. Diljit Dosanjh looked so similar to Chamkila and worked on his diction and looks as well. However, Parineeti Chopra learnt singing for this project and sung songs in the movie. Moreover, actors like Anjum Batra, Nisha Bano and Samuel John did great work in this movie.

Direction

Direction is undoubtedly the best because ‘Chamkila’ is directed by one and only Imtiaz Ali who is one of best directors of Bollywood. He worked greatly on this movie and represented on screens. Imtiaz Ali noticed many tiny details and depicted them in the film.

As we know, ‘Chamkila’ is a musical film, so music plays pertinent role. AR Rahman did his job so well that we are able to enjoy the original songs of Chamkila along with the songs sung by other artists.
